Terms of service

These terms apply when you use Midify. By creating an account or buying credits you agree to them.

The service

Midify converts audio recordings you upload into MIDI files and sheet music. Transcriptions are made automatically and can contain wrong or missing notes. The service is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind.

Your account

You need an account to convert. Keep your sign-in to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. One person per account.

Your audio

Only upload recordings you own or have permission to use: your own playing or compositions, public-domain works, or recordings licensed to you. You keep all rights to your uploads and to the files Midify makes from them. Midify uses them only to run the conversion and to show you the results.

You may not:

  • upload audio you have no right to use
  • use Midify to copy and distribute other people's music
  • try to break, overload or get around the limits of the service
  • resell access to Midify

Credits and payment

Converting costs credits, as shown on the pricing page. Every account gets free credits each month; unspent free credits do not carry over. Bought credits do not expire while Midify runs. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred to another account.

Orders are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our online reseller and merchant of record: it takes the payment, charges sales tax or VAT where it applies, and sends the receipt. Prices are in US dollars. Midify never sees your card number.

Refunds

A credit pack you have not spent from is refunded in full on request within 30 days of buying it: email us and the refund goes back through Lemon Squeezy. Spent credits are not refunded. A conversion that fails costs nothing. When a payment is refunded or charged back, the pack's remaining credits are removed from your balance.

Copyright complaints

If you believe a file on Midify infringes your copyright, email rinnguyen711@gmail.com with:

  • your name and contact details
  • the work you believe is infringed
  • the file or account concerned, if you know it
  • a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by you, your agent or the law
  • a statement that your notice is accurate and that you own the rights or may act for the owner
  • your signature, typed or handwritten

Midify removes the file and tells the account holder, who may send a counter-notice. Accounts that infringe repeatedly are closed.

Liability

As far as the law allows, Midify is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and its total liability to you is limited to what you paid Midify in the 12 months before the claim.

Ending

You can stop using Midify at any time and ask for your account to be deleted. Midify may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. If Midify shuts down, unspent bought credits are refunded.

Changes and contact

These terms may change; the date at the top shows the latest version, and significant changes are sent by email. Questions: rinnguyen711@gmail.com.
